#Congratulations to the St. Jarlath's Junior
#Rugby team that secured a league and cup double today with a 29-5 victory over Dunmore CC
Playing with a strong wind, Jarlath's started slowly and found themselves trailing 0-5 after 15 minutes. However, Jarlath's soon found their rhythm and two tries from Jayden Brady and Conor Fitzsimons saw them lead 12-5 at half time. Playing into the strong wind, Jarlath's knew that a better performance was required in the second half and they duly delivered. Strong defence for the first 15 minutes ensured Jarlath's maintained their half- time lead and then in the final 15 minutes, they played some of their best rugby this season. Super link play and passing between backs and forwards was rewarded with three tries in 10 minutes from Caoimhín Wynne, Paul Gleeson and Bobby Murphy. Fionn Mitchell added a conversion to leave the final score 29-5.
The Junior rugby team enjoyed a fantastic season, becoming the first team in the College's history to secure a league and cup double. They only lost one game this season and the future is very bright for this excellent group of players
