Hello everyone, we hope that you and all your families are safe and well.
Firstly we would like to say well done to the entire school community for the excellent remote teaching and learning that has taken place over the past 3 weeks. It has been a challenging time but everyone has shown great commitment and resilience to ensure that the entire student body at St. Jarlath's College continue to receive a first class education.
In terms of a return to the classroom the school has yet to receive any further information on return dates from the DES. Therefore, remote teaching and learning will continue until such time as the DES and public health guidance allow for a return to the classroom. The school will continue to update you with all relevant information as we receive it from the DES.
This week our students undertook a short survey on their experiences of remote teaching and learning this January. The results of this survey will be used to help improve the remote teaching and learning experience for students and staff alike moving forward.
A reminder that the JCT have organised a teacher training day for next Tuesday 2nd February. Therefore there will be no school/online classes for students as is the norm for any staff training day of this nature.
Stay safe,
Mr Kelly & Mr Mortimer
